Executive Chef and Managing Partner, Orchid Paulmeier is the star of One Hot Mama’s in more ways than one. Not only is her award-winning barbecue the star of the menu, but Orchid herself has a claim to fame. As a Food Network Star, Orchid brings her expertise in Southern BBQ straight to your table. Mama Orchid continues to remain a favorite among the foodie community! She was just named 2016 SC Chef Ambassador; this award is a tribute to her culinary talent and the quality of food that she serves.
Orchid learned the fundamentals of cooking by growing up in the kitchen with her mom and grandmother. Strapped with a taste for exotic, worldly flavors, and the kind of cooking prowess that only life can teach you, Orchid opened One Hot Mama’s in 2003; her American dream now became a reality.
Since then, One Hot Mama’s has become synonymous with family meal traditions. We love seeing familiar faces walk through our doors year after year. Being a part of your family traditions is our passion, and driving force. We are proud that families can rely on One Hot Mama’s for a memorable dining experience in our restaurant or at home.
